Week 5 (12 June 2023 - 16 June 2023)

Monday, 12th June 2023

    Hi, it's Monday! So, I got some not-so-bad news, but it made me upset. My weekend was interrupted by a message from the teacher who was in charge of the class schedule, informing me that I needed to switch from 2 Dinamik to 2 Fikrah. This happened due to a clash of schedules with another class that I teach, therefore I was assigned to teach 2 Fikrah for the best possible solution. As a result, my class schedule had been automatically altered to a new one.

    Today, I will teach 2 Fikrah from 4.25 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. and 1 Bestari from 5.00 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. Since this is my first time attending 2 Fikrah, I thought it would be a good idea to do a little ice-breaking activity. Thankfully, the class was well-mannered and my instructions were easily understood. I really appreciate that.

  Following that, for my 1 Bestari class, I chose to undertake a reading task that included unfamiliar words for them. Students need to match unfamiliar phrases in the text with similar words.

    Regarding my relief class, I am only required to relief 2 Dinamik from 1.45 p.m. to 2.20 p.m.

Tuesday, 13th June 2023

    It's Tuesday! The good news is that I don't have to teach on Tuesdays. So I came to school for relief and completed my daily lesson plan. As for my relief classes: 1 Bestari from 1:10 to 2:20 p.m. and 2 Bestari from 4:25 to 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday, 14th June 2023

    It's Wednesday! As for today, I arrived a bit earlier than usual because I had co-curriculum from 10 to 11 a.m. I was appointed to the Girl Guides of Malaysia (Persatuan Pandu Puteri). However, today's meeting was held online using the Google Meet platform. 

    For my 2 Fikrah class, I chose to do a reading activity with an incomplete graphic organiser. Students must complete the graphic organiser based on the provided text. It was such a nice activity in class to improve their skills in reading.

    Regarding class my relief classes, I have two: 2 Fikrah from 2.55 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. and 2 Dinamik from 3.30 p.m. to 4.05 p.m.

Thursday, 15th June 2023

    As for today, not much happened. In today's class for Bestari 1, I chose to go on from the previous lesson in which I utilised the same text, but the students now must create a mind map. All of the answers may be found in the provided text. Following that, I chose to guide my 2 Fikrah students in writing an email. The email is about providing recommendations to a friend about going some secondhand shop shopping. Throughout the lesson, all of the students were quite active and cooperative.

    Regarding my relief class, I am only required to take relief 1 Arif/ 1 Bestari/ 1 Cemerlang from 4.25 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Friday, 16th June 2023

    It's finally Friday! So, I decided to do an enjoyable activity with my 1 Bestari students, which I planned for a charades game. Not all of the students in the class are familiar with this game. Then I explained how to play the game and so on, and the pupils were very excited to get started. However, the rules of this game imply that they must speak in English.

    Regarding my relief class, I am only required to take relief 1 Arif from 5.35 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.
