Practicum Journey (SMKDK)

Monday, 22nd May 2023      Here we are in my second week of practicum! Today is the day that I need to teach 2 Dinamik. Since the examination just finished, my mentor had previously assigned me to mark the English papers that I teach, which are 1 Bestari and 2 Dinamik. So, on my first day in 2 Dinamik, I just conducted some ice-breaking with the students. For me, knowing and recalling the names of my students is essential and crucial.     As for my relief classes, I got two relief classes which are 1 Fikrah from 1.10 p.m. until 1.45 p.m. and 2 Arif from 1.45 p.m. until 2.20 p.m. Tuesday, 23rd May 2023      Here to my second day of the week, thus I had to attend Mesyuarat Guru Bil 2/2023 Bahagian 2 at 12 p.m. So, the meeting is essentially a continuation of the previous meeting.   Monday, 15th May 2023    Hello! I have been assigned as a practicum teacher once again, and this time my role will be as a secondary school teacher. Today was the first day of my practical teaching experience at SMK Danau Kota, located in Kuala Lumpur. I arrived at school at 11.30 a.m. and went directly to the school's office. Before I overlooked to mention it, GPK Kanan Petang, Puan Liew had notified me, two days before reporting for duty, that I would have an evening session in school. Fortunately, on the first day of practicum, there are two other practicum teachers from UNITAR who reported for duty on the same day as me 😊. So I'm relieved to know that I'm not alone here. So, as usual on the first day, I am not yet teaching; however, Puan Liew has already prepared my timetable, and following a short tour of the school, I feel so welcomed here.
