Hello! I have been assigned as a practicum teacher once again, and this time my role will be as a secondary school teacher. Today was the first day of my practical teaching experience at SMK Danau Kota, located in Kuala Lumpur. I arrived at school at 11.30 a.m. and went directly to the school's office. Before I overlooked to mention it, GPK Kanan Petang, Puan Liew had notified me, two days before reporting for duty, that I would have an evening session in school. Fortunately, on the first day of practicum, there are two other practicum teachers from UNITAR who reported for duty on the same day as me 😊. So I'm relieved to know that I'm not alone here. So, as usual on the first day, I am not yet teaching; however, Puan Liew has already prepared my timetable, and following a short tour of the school, I feel so welcomed here. When I got to the teachers' room, Puan Liew had already prepared my spot, which was quite comfortable and nice. On top of that, I was given teaching duties for several classes on my first day. So I was assigned to classes 1 Bestari and 2 Dinamik. I have therefore visited and gotten to know my potential students by following Teacher Maryam in her role as an English teacher for class 2 Dinamik.

Tuesday, 16th May 2023
Hi! It was the second day of my practicum! I was both excited and nervous at the same time. Therefore, I arrived at school a bit early today because of being involved in Mesyuarat Guru BIL 2/2023 at 11.30 a.m. During the meeting, the principal introduced me and the other two practicum teachers to the other teachers. Once again, I feel so welcome here.

Following that, my school will have Modul Kecemerlangan from the 16th to the 19th of May 2023. This Modul Kecemerlangan is an examination for students. So, the school already provided me with a timetable of which classes I should monitor. I was assigned to monitor the exams for classes 1 Fikrah and 2 Dinamik. Despite this, I still need to relief a few classes, as for today, I need to relief 2 Cemerlang from 4.00 p.m. to 4.55 p.m. Therefore, during the relief, if there was no examination, I encouraged the students to prepare for their next examination.

Wednesday, 17th May 2023
My school still had Modul Kecemerlangan following my third day of school. So, I was assigned to look after the examinations for classes 1 Fikrah and 1 Bestari. Despite this, I have to relief 2 Bestari from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Nothing noteworthy occurs on the third day, but it is still relaxing and I continue to adapt to this school.
My school still had Modul Kecemerlangan following my fourth day of school. So, I was assigned to look after the examinations for classes 1 Bestari and 2 Bestari. Despite this, I have to relief 2 Intelek from 4.00 p.m. to 4.55 p.m. The day was very calm and relaxing. I love how I get to know some of the students happily.
Friday, 19th May 2023
Here you are on the last day of the week, and Modul Kecemerlangan continues as typical. Therefore, I was assigned to monitor the exams for classes 1 Harmoni and 2 Dinamik. Also, I need to relief 2 Jaya from 2:20 to 2:55 p.m.
