Week 10 (17 July 2023 - 22 July 2023)

 Monday, 17th July 2023

    It's Monday! So, I planned a fun project for my 1 Bestari students today. I asked them to write a music review from one of their favorite songs. I had also provided and distributed the template during the class. I explained how to write an appropriate review and allowed them to do some research about the music when they got home. The students were beaming to be able to write about their favorite music. For 2 Fikrah, I gave them past simple crosswords from 'Bulan Bahasa,' which was one of the competitions for Form 2. It was a wonderful activity for my students and taught them many types of activities. 

    Then, as is usual on Mondays, a formal assembly would be held, and for today's assembly, my school celebrated an early independence month. The assembly was great since it included patriotic songs including Malaysia's independence anthem. As my gift from the event, I also received a very adorable clip nail. It was a beautiful day!

    Regarding my relief class, I am only required to relief1 Jaya from 1.45 p.m. to 2.20 p.m.

Tuesday, 18th July 2023

    It's Tuesday, and I get the day free! However, nothing significant happened today; I simply prepared my lesson plans in my spare time and enrolled in the provided relief classes.

    Regarding my relief classes, I have two: 1 Bestari from 1.10 p.m. to 2.20 p.m. and 1 Dinamik from 3.50 p.m. to 4.25 p.m.

   Hello! Good news, today is a public holiday for celebrating 'Awal Muharram' 🕌.


Thursday, 20th July 2023

    After a day off, it's back to school on Thursday! For 2 Fikrah today, I worked on grammar, particularly the present perfect tense. I did give them short notes and an incomplete paragraph that they needed to complete using the present perfect tense. For 1 Bestari, I just ran a word search focusing on adverbs. If any of them completed the task the quickest, I gave them a small present.

    Regarding my relief class, I have one: 1 Arif/ 1 Bestari/ 1 Cemerlang from 3.50 p.m. to 4.25 p.m.


Friday, 21st July 2023

    It's finally Friday! I planned to do some reading comprehension with my 1 Bestari students today. However, the lesson was postponed due to the 'Maal Hijrah' celebration and gotong-royong activities. My school welcomed Ustaz Adnan bin Yusof from SMK Taman Melati to give a talk about Awal Muharram. The talk was quite informative and valuable to me. For gotong-royong, I was assigned to keep an eye for Peralihan Bestari while they cleaned their classroom. It was an amazing opportunity for me to guide the pupils in maintaining the cleanliness of their classroom.

Saturday, 22nd July 2023

    It's the weekend! But what's going on? So, today I participated in the SMK Danau Kota 2023 Roadrun event. Furthermore, I was given responsibility for distributing checkpoints to the students. It's all new to me, but I'm excited to be a part of this event to obtain additional knowledge and experience. The Roadrun was held at Taman Tasik Danau Kota, which was a wonderfully relaxing and calming location.

Monday, 14th August 2023      It's Monday! Today, I merely resumed my roleplay with 1 Bestari. It was because some of the kids were still not finished. I will award the duo that presented with proper intonation and gesture. They were overjoyed to learn that they may win rewards. Regarding 2 Fikrah, I finally finished up the lesson from last week's postponed session—a short answer exercise. I assisted them in answering questions correctly and finding the answer from the given text.   Monday, 21st August 2023      It's Monday! But today was a holiday for Sports Day event 🏫 Tuesday, 22nd August 2023      It's Tuesday! As usual, I didn't have much to do today and was simply trying to finish my current task.      Regarding my relief classes, I have two: 2 Dinamik from 2.55 p.m. to 4.05 p.m. and 2 Bestari from 5.35 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. Wednesday, 23rd August 2023      It's Wednesday! I needed to attend an 'Upskilling Performance Module Keramat 2023' meeting with the English panel at Bilik Bahasa as soon as I arrived today. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the newest module developed by certain Keramat area teachers.      In class, I gave the students a reading comprehension task that focused on matching-gapped text. Week 11 (24 July 2023 - 28 July 2023)

  Monday, 24th July 2023      It's Monday! So, I received information that the fellow practicum teachers were involved in KPM's "Penarafan Tandas bertaraf 5 Bintang." We had been assigned to assist the other teachers in rating the condition of the school's restroom. I was assigned to update the school maps, which included the names of all the restrooms. It was an amazing opportunity and a brand new lesson for me.      So, for 1 Bestari today, I focused on reading and writing skills, and I provided homework for students to rearrange sentences to form a short paragraph.
