Week 6 (19 June 2023 - 23 June 2023)

Monday, 19th June 2023

    Today is Monday! So, for my teaching lessons today, I decided to do a reading activity with my 1 Bestari students based on the text 'Practise 3Rs'. I chose that topic because I want to educate youngsters about the value of incorporating the 3 R's into daily life. Then, I decided to hold a spelling bee for my 2 Fikrah students utilizing the previous material that we had covered in class. I gave students some time to read before jumping right into the spelling bee. It was a fun and beneficial activity since it allowed me to get to know about my students' spelling levels.

   Besides that, my school conducted a short formal assembly from 5.50 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. before the end of the school day. The assembly included patriotic singing, speeches from the currently on-duty teacher and the previous on-duty teacher, a speech from GPK Kanan, and a book review session.

    Regarding my relief class, I am only required to relief 2 Dinamik from 1.10 p.m. to 1.45 p.m.

Tuesday, 20th June 2023

    It's Tuesday! So, as per usual, I have no classes to teach today. However, today I attended a meeting with all of the evening teachers. The meeting was about the Sistem Sahsiah Diri Murid (SSDM), and while I am not particularly engaged with this topic, I am delighted to have learned something new today.

    Regarding my relief classes, I have four: Peralihan Bestari from 1.45 p.m. to 2.20 p.m., 1 Bestari from 2.20 p.m. to 2.55 p.m., 2 Jaya from 3.30 p.m. to 4.05 p.m. and 1 Fikrah from 5.00 p.m. to 5.35 p.m.

Wednesday, 21st June 2023

    It's Wednesday, and I just have one class today! But, as usual on Wednesdays, it is also a co-curricular day! So, for today, I had to manage the sport 'Lompat Tali' first from 10.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. The total amount of participants in 'Lompat Tali' was just 8 students, but only 4 of them attended school. It surprised me, but I'm grateful for those who attended. Then I went to handle the 'Pandu Puteri' uniform from 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. So, for uniforms, my school did an integrated project in which we built a tent. The fastest uniform that builds the tent will win, and guess what? This activity was won by my 'Pandu Puteri' unit uniform. I am quite glad for this chance because I am the primary instructor for my students.

    In class, I decided to undertake a poster-making project with my 2 Fikrah students. The poster is intended to create awareness against animal cruelty. I showed a short movie to the students and talked more about animal cruelty. Then, I divided the students into six groups and assigned the animal cruelty topics by drawing lots. Lastly, I gave each group 10 minutes to finish their poster. The poster with the most votes wins.

    Regarding my relief classes, I have two: Peralihan Bestari from 1.45 p.m. to 2.20 p.m. and a simultaneous class relief at Dewan Eusoff Teh, which are 1 Cemerlang, 2 Intelek, 1 Dinamik, 2 Jaya, Peralihan Arif and Peralihan Bestari.

    So, today I'll arrive a little early for the 'Bijak BI' programme, which has around 60 students. This student was labelled as a weak student, which is why they need to participate in the 'Bijak BI' programme.

    In terms of my teaching classes, I decided to teach 1 Bestari about 'Practise 3Rs,' which aims to make youngsters aware of the need to recycle, reuse, and reduce. I chose to teach 2 Fikrah the simple future tense: 'be going to'. Throughout class, students are very polite and helpful.

    Regarding my relief class, I am required to relief 1 Arif, 1 Bestari and 1 Cemerlang for 'Muzik' subject from 3.50 p.m. to 4.25 p.m.

Friday, 23rd June 2023

    Finally, it's Friday! So, for today, I just had one lesson to teach: 1 Bestari. Thus, I made the decision to teach them the modal verbs, which emphasize "would like" and "would like to." I had also given them a simple activity to test their understanding.

    Regarding my relief class, I am only required to relief 2 Fikrah from 4.25 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Monday, 14th August 2023      It's Monday! Today, I merely resumed my roleplay with 1 Bestari. It was because some of the kids were still not finished. I will award the duo that presented with proper intonation and gesture. They were overjoyed to learn that they may win rewards. Regarding 2 Fikrah, I finally finished up the lesson from last week's postponed session—a short answer exercise. I assisted them in answering questions correctly and finding the answer from the given text.   Monday, 21st August 2023      It's Monday! But today was a holiday for Sports Day event 🏫 Tuesday, 22nd August 2023      It's Tuesday! As usual, I didn't have much to do today and was simply trying to finish my current task.      Regarding my relief classes, I have two: 2 Dinamik from 2.55 p.m. to 4.05 p.m. and 2 Bestari from 5.35 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. Wednesday, 23rd August 2023      It's Wednesday! I needed to attend an 'Upskilling Performance Module Keramat 2023' meeting with the English panel at Bilik Bahasa as soon as I arrived today. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the newest module developed by certain Keramat area teachers.      In class, I gave the students a reading comprehension task that focused on matching-gapped text. Week 11 (24 July 2023 - 28 July 2023)

  Monday, 24th July 2023      It's Monday! So, I received information that the fellow practicum teachers were involved in KPM's "Penarafan Tandas bertaraf 5 Bintang." We had been assigned to assist the other teachers in rating the condition of the school's restroom. I was assigned to update the school maps, which included the names of all the restrooms. It was an amazing opportunity and a brand new lesson for me.      So, for 1 Bestari today, I focused on reading and writing skills, and I provided homework for students to rearrange sentences to form a short paragraph.
