    Hello! Back to school, everyone! So, after a week off, I'm ready to get back to teaching. Nothing exciting today, however, I did get to talk with some of the teachers about their holiday. It's wonderful to work in a positive environment. Everyone has been really supportive and kind to me.

    As usual, I'm teaching 1 Bestari class today, and I've decided to assign a true or false exercise based on the text that has been provided. I have previously photocopied the short text for each student. I also asked that some of the students read the provided text as well as participate in a discussion regarding the text. Not to mention that I explain any of the difficult words in the text that was provided.

     Regarding my relief classes, I have three: 1 Efisien/Fikrah from 1.10 p.m. to 2.20 p.m. and 2 Efisien together with 1 Arif/Bestari from 6.10 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. The three classes that I relieved were at Dewan Eusoff Teh since the school did not have enough teachers to relief.

Wednesday, 7th June 2023

     We've already made it to Wednesday! Isn't it faster? Because Monday is a holiday hehe 😁 As for today, my school has already resumed curricular activities, therefore I arrived as early as 10 a.m. to handle the skipping club. Oh yeah, I got assigned to joined skipping club and 'Pandu Puteri' uniform yesterday by Puan Liew, GPK Kanan Petang. The meeting of skipping club started at 10.00 a.m. until 11.30 a.m. at Bilik Muzik. The meeting was attended by just four pupils out of a total of eight. When I spoke with my other teachers, I was told that the low participation rate is due to the fact that this club is relatively new to our school.

    So, today I'll be teaching my 1 Bestari class from 3.50 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. and my 2 Dinamik class from 1.10 p.m. to 2.20 p.m.

    For 1 Bestari, I decided to carry on from the previous lesson, which used the same material, but this time I asked the students to discover common and proper nouns in the provided text. Despite that, I did initially teach the students about common and proper nouns. I did provide some examples of common and proper nouns using the class object. Throughout the lesson, all of the students were quite cooperative and well-mannered. That makes me really grateful ☝

    For 2 Dinamik, I chose to focus on literature in action. I've also already photocopied a graphical conversation for each student. A few students were selected to perform the conversation in front of the class. I guided them on how to talk with a suitable voice and intonation. After all, I believe my students still need a lot of practice in this type of activity since they still lack some vocabulary and pronunciation, but one thing I appreciate about my students is that they never refuse to act out in front of the class. I think that was good behavior for a student.

    Good news for today, I have no relief classes 😊

    It's Thursday! It seems like time is passing by so quickly 🍃 As for today, I'll be teaching 2 Dinamik, so I decided to teach them the simple future tense: 'be going to'. I did my best to come up with simple and concise notes for my students. During class, I wrote notes on the whiteboard while students copied it. I also provided several examples and exercises to assess the understanding of students.

    Regarding my relief class, I am only required to relief 1 Jaya from 1.10 p.m. to 2.20 p.m.

Friday, 9th June 2023

    It's finally Friday! I'll be teaching 1 Bestari today, so I decided to teach them the simple past tense: was/were. Then I make some brief notes for my students. I photocopied the notes for each student to paste into their grammar book for this lesson. I tried my best to explain the use of the simple past tense. I also provided multiple examples and tasks to measure the understanding of students. Aside from that, the teachers were having a quick potluck in the teacher's room, so I simply relished the food gladly.

      Regarding my relief class, I am only required to relief 2 Arif from 1.10 p.m. to 2.20 p.m.

Saturday, 10th June 2023

    It's Saturday! But why am I here? So, I was involved in 'Mesyuarat Agung PIBG SMK Danau Kota 2023'. All of the teachers had to come to school and do the assigned duty. As for me, I was in charge of handling food, so I needed to organize meals and drinks for the parents, PIBG panel, as well as teachers. The good news is that my school provided breakfast and lunch today. Additionally, this programme was only held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Overall, it was an excellent learning opportunity for me since I was able to see how the meeting was going as well as the relationship between the school and the student's parents.
